Introducing 3T: The Torchbearers of the Jackson Legacy

Meet 3T: Tariano Adaryll Jackson II (Taj) Jackson, Taryll Adren Jackson, and Tito Joe (TJ) Jackson, the sons of the legendary Tito Jackson, an original member of the iconic Jackson 5 and The Jacksons, and the late Delores “Dee Dee” Jackson. Inheriting an unrivaled pop music pedigree, they are an integral part of the world’s most celebrated music family and pop royalty, known as The Jacksons, a true family dynasty.

From their early years, these young talents graced television screens and shared stages with their renowned uncles and aunts. As children, they could often be found mimicking the Jackson brothers, wielding brooms and mops as makeshift instruments, and teaching themselves to play real instruments. Upholding their musical legacy comes naturally to “The Three T’s,” as lovingly referred to by their mother, Dee Dee.

Their proud father, Tito, affectionately known as “Poppa T,” recognized the signs of their sons’ talents when they were mere toddlers. He dedicated years to nurturing their skills, helping them perfect their craft, and guiding them into what can only be described as the family business.

After amassing an impressive collection of musical material, their uncle Michael eagerly took them under his wing. He granted them access to his vast entertainment resources and signed 3T to his burgeoning record label, MJJ Music. Uncle Michael, often called “Doo Doo,” not only gave his wholehearted blessing but also provided the creative freedom his nephews needed. This creative freedom resulted in them writing more than a dozen songs for their debut release, with the best of these tracks comprising the 12 tunes on their album, “Brotherhood.”

As the torchbearers of the Jackson legacy and the next generation of Jacksons, the trio delivered on their innate musical promise with their debut effort, “Brotherhood,” which has sold over 3 million copies worldwide. The album boasted mega-hits like “Anything,” “Why,” “I Need You,” and singles such as “Tease Me,” “24/7,” and “Gotta Be You.”

3T’s inaugural single, “Anything,” composed, performed, and produced entirely by 3T, achieved gold status in the U.S., Denmark, Belgium, Norway, and the U.K., with global sales exceeding two million copies. This achievement, coupled with the success of singles like “Why,” “I Need You,” “24/7,” and “Gotta Be You,” propelled 3T to an impressive five Top Ten hits in the U.K. alone. The album earned gold certifications in the U.K., the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Thailand, and the Philippines, ultimately achieving platinum status in France.

In 1997, backed by a talented 5-piece band, 3T embarked on the 27-date sold-out Brotherhood Tour, bringing their music to fans across 7 countries in Europe. The group earned the distinction of being the second-best-selling group in Europe, trailing only behind the Spice Girls.

Although 3T recorded a second album under Sony in the late nineties, it regrettably never saw the light of day due to strained relationships between Michael Jackson’s MJJ Music and Sony.
