Dominique Rijpma van Hulst is a Dutch singer known by her stage name ‘DO’. She is best known for singing the vocals of DJ Sammy’s worldwide top 3 hit in 2001-2003, “Heaven”, a cover of the 1980s hit by Bryan Adams.

She has released four albums, Do, Follow Me, Singing In The Darkness & Bubbles & Bells (Christmas album).

Before she even released a single, she was a supporting act for the tour of 5ive and Montell Jordan in the Netherlands. The first single Do released was the song Real Good. Although the music video was played a lot on the Dutch music channel TMF, it was not a hit song in the Netherlands. The second single ‘Heaven’ became a smash-hit. The song was a cover of Bryan Adams song Heaven. It even became an international hit. It reached the number 1 spot in several countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany & Canada. A candlelight remix version was made with a slower, piano instrumental. This version was number 1 on the US Billboard hot 100 Yearlist in 2001, and is the most played song of that year on the US Radio.

Do’s self titled debut, Do, was released in 2004, and reached the #3 spot in the Netherlands. The first single from the album, “Voorbij”, a duet with Marco Borsato, reached number 1. She also had top 10 hits in the Netherlands with her next two singles, “Love Is Killing Me” (which reached the #6 spot) and “Angel By My Side” (which reached the #10 spot). A specially recorded version of “Angel By My Side” was used as the title song for the 2004 Dutch film “Ellis in Glamourland”.

The album received the golden status (40,000 copies) in the Netherlands just before Christmas.

Do also released 3 other albums: ‘Follow Me’, ‘Zingen In Het Donker (Singing In The Darkness’ & ‘Bubbles & Bells’ (Christmas Album)

Besides singing Do was a model for Dutch brand ‘Hunkemoller’ & Playboy. She also took place at the jury-desk of X-Factor Belgium & My Name Is… (NL/BE).

In 2011 she scored her first solo number 1 hit in The Netherlands with ‘Hij Gelooft In Mij’, which was a live recording of a big tv-show called ‘De Beste Zangers Van Nederland’ (The Greatest Singers Of NL).

December 2011 Do released her first Christmas-Album called ‘Bubbles & Bells’.
