SMiLE.dk is a Swedish pop group consisting of two singers from Sweden. Their mission is to entertain and create happiness with their catchy lyrics, upbeat sound, sensitive ballads, and of course the tracks are bound together by their beautiful voices!
Despite what the group name suggests, the members are not Danish, they are from Sweden. They were signed by EMI in Denmark and to avoid misunderstandings regarding other bands named “Smile” the record company added .dk, hence the “.dk” tag.

SMiLE.dk published their first album Smile in Japan 1998. It received wide attention and several songs in this album were included in EMI Dance mania compilations. The first single “Butterfly”, was eventually licensed by Konami in the first version of Dance Dance Revolution. Since then, “Butterfly” has become one of the most popular songs in Dance Dance Revolution’s history. The group was awarded with a Gold-record in Japan the same year!!
They celebrated their biggest success in Asia and have achieved superstar status through selling a whole amount of records.
