Clive Wilson, Phil Fursdon 2 original members of Racey and along with Ian Hewitt and Richard Blake make the Smash Hit 70’s & 80’s band rock into the 2000s.

Here are some of Racey’s chart successes, starting with their very first Hit Baby It’s You reached No. 64 in U.K. Lay Your Love On Me reached No. 3 in U.K. and No. 1 in most European countries, as well as Australia and New Zealand. Some Girls reached No. 2 in U.K. and No. 1 in most European countries, Australia & New Zealand. This single when released in Australia knocked Racey’S previous No. 1 Hit for 8 weeks Lay Your Love On Me from the top spot, Some Girls remained at No. 1 for a further 6 weeks. Boy Oh Boy reached No. 12 in the U.K. and was the third No. 1 in a row a ‘hattrick’ in Denmark. It also reached No. 1 in Australia. Runaround Sue reached No. 13 in the U.K. and similarly across Europe.

The Smash ‘n’ Grab album sold over 500,000, out- selling ABBA and Wings in Australia, at the time of its release. Racey have sold well in excess of 5 million records, and the band have played live in all the above countries. As well as playing all the Racey hits the band have carefully selected other great rock ‘n’ roll & classic pop songs to make their show an hour of fun and good music for all.
